We are a group of young adults interested in politics aligned by the believe in social democratic values. These are the pages of the Upper Austrian section of the "Junge Generation in der SPÖ" - the "Junge Generation in der SPÖ Oberösterreich" (Young Generation of the Upper Austrian Social Democrats).

On top of our organisational structure is the federal bureau of our association which itself is a section of the Austrian Social Democratic Party (SPÖ). For more information about the outlook and the self-conception of the SPÖ please refer to the Grundsatzprogramm der SPÖ (in german).

The Young Generation of the Upper Austrian Social Democrats is divided in regional and local groups. In the 1990ies the ministration of these groups has been neglected. It was our duty to get the whole thing going again. We now consist of 10 regional and many more local divisions.

Our organisational goals

Make politics together with young adolescentsTeach young people social democratic ideas. Advertise the ideas and standpoints of the Austrian Social Democrats. Make our members interested in political as well as social topics and educate them. Enable common leisure time activitiesAllude the concerning elements of the Austrian Social Democrats to the specific problems of young adolescents.

How you can join us

If you join the Austrian Social Democrats (SPÖ) as a member and you are younger than 38 years you are automatically a member of the Junge Generation. To get active you just need a informal letter to us and you are in.

In the Upper Austrian section of the Junge Generation, if you want to get politically active it is not necessary to have a membership of the Austrian Social Democrats. We will welcome every new member, just send us a E-Mail to office@jg-ooe.at

Finally, as a member of the "Junge Generation in der SP Oberösterreich" you do not have to pay any extra fees besides the party fees! As a department of the Austrian Social Democrats (SPÖ) we get sufficient money from the party.
